Cornerstone Photography

Giving couples a stylistic wedding with all the elements of candid and traditional moments was our goal with the birth of Cornerstone Photography. Being officially launched in the summer of 2000, our roots and first weddings go all the way back to 1989.

Owners Mark and Laura Humpa met in college while attending Columbia College in Chicago. After graduation Mark pursued his career within the commercial and fashion photography industry, and eventually became an associate agent to a number of photographers and graphic artists around the country.

Meanwhile, Laura worked as a photojournalist with the Daily Herald newspaper in the Chicagoland area and as an assistant photographer for the Chicago Cubs. Laura was also chosen to study under renowned photojournalist Eddie Adams in upstate New York during this time.
